House in Beloura
Description
The house is positioned on the site with the aim of responding in a relatively simple way to two central questions: How can it capture a panoramic view of the horizon, which also brings us the presence of the sea? How can it embrace outdoor spaces that simultaneously protect the residents’ privacy from neighbors’ views and ensure comfort on days of strong wind?
It was from these two questions that the idea of a central patio was imagined, “embraced” by the social areas (entrance hall/living room/kitchen), and connected to a “semi-patio” containing the swimming pool. It is in this central patio that the gazes of those moving through the surrounding spaces meet, bringing people closer together who, in a house of this scale, might otherwise remain apart. It is the place where one feels the daily energy of life in the house.
On a completely different dimension of the house (its outlook onto the surroundings), the living room and the main bedrooms feature large, glazed openings that extend into spacious balconies reaching out toward the horizon.
