Casa Linder
Description
Set in a privileged natural landscape, this project in the Marinha Guincho Tourist Village adapts to the rugged topography and blends in with the terrain, both in terms of materials and color choices.
It is the presence of geological outcrops that underpins the primary volumetric strategy adopted: a recessed volume on the natural terrain and a floating volume, supported on the former. Both made of exposed concrete, they differ in the texture acquired by the different formworks and the tone of the pigments applied: the first a dark brownish red and the second a light ochre color, textured using OSB panels. These colors, refined from samples taken from local limestone rocks, reinforce the strategy of continuity with nature. These two volumes work in overlapping and dialectical complementarity.
Access is via the highest level of the land, which is close to the level of the entrance floor where the house’s common areas are located. These communicate directly with the large terrace, through its transparent openings, under which, on the lower floor, are the garage and all the technical areas, served by a gently sloping ramp to the southwest. The upper floor, in an “L” shape, houses the private areas and is topped by two patio terraces, connected by a narrow balcony that shades the openings on the lower floor, allowing you to fully enjoy the mountain environment and the sea views.
